100km

The Feature Race Karri Cup MTB course comprises four stages of approximately equal distance traversing the breathtaking Southern Forest. The terrain presents a diverse range of challenges, including steep inclines, descents, and varied landscapes.

50km

The 50km MTB course consists of stages 1 and 4 of the 100km Feature Race. This shortened version will take you through some of the giant karri and jarrah tree trails of the Southern Forest. The course offers a range of challenging terrain and captivating scenery.

25km

Get ready for an exhilarating adventure on the 25km MTB course designed for social and sub-juniors (aged 10 to 13). Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the Southern Forest region as you pedal through these enchanting trails.

8km

New to MTB? Then this is for you.

This "Enticer Course" is designed for kids and riders who may not have the time to train for the longer courses, but still want a taste of the excitement.

Karri Kids

Sunday’s event is a must-attend for families! What makes this event truly special is that kids get to experience the thrill of riding their bikes on a specially designed and prepared track. And guess what? There are plenty of exciting prizes and giveaways to make it even more fun!

8km Trail Run

For the first time, we will be offering a trail run on Friday afternoon.

We hope this new event will allow supporters who prefer sneakers to wheels to get involved in the fun of the weekend.

This awesome untimed trail run winds through the Northcliffe Forest Park, offering a variety of scenery.

2km Fun Run

Everyone should have a chance to get involved over the Karri Cup weekend!

Our 2km Fun Run is not officially timed, and allows participants to run, walk or stroll through a scenic forest trail to start the weekend off right!

Being Prepared to Ride

One of the many appealing factors of Mountain Biking is heading into the bush for an epic trail ride, being self-sufficient while you are out there and carrying all you need to get back safely.

Prepare

Below is a list of items we think you should bring to the MTB challenge.

It is by no means definitive and your planning for the event should include some research on what you will need.

  • Good quality trail proven Mountain Bike

  • Australian Standards approved cycling helmet

  • Spare tubes/patches

  • Tyre pump

  • Multi tool

  • Chain tool

  • Hydration pack - 3 litre capacity per rider

  • Mobile phone - it will work in some areas...installing "Emergency Plus" app is highly recommended

  • Basic spares for your bike

  • Good quality chamois in your shorts

  • Your favourite chamois cream

  • Both full and half finger gloves

  • Sunglasses - bring a spare set just in case

  • Sunscreen

  • Additional nutrition

  • Small first aid kit

  • Insect repellent

Expect

  • Karri Cup organisers will provide some support for all the riders.

  • There will be limited mechanical support at the Service Stops.

  • Medical emergency support and emergency communications.

  • Sweepers for those who don't make it to the finish of a stage.

  • A shuttle bus and bike trailer to transport early withdrawals back to the Northcliffe Recreation Grounds.
