Absolutely! We have an E-Bike category that you can compete in, however e-bike riders are not eligible to win the overall Karri Cup MTB Challenge.

Gravel bikes are allowed to register. They can win their category, but not the overall Karri Cup MTB Challenge.

Yes! We have the wonderful BlueChip timing guys down for the weekend, who provide the latest in cutting edge sports timing technology.

The Karri Cup MTB Challenge trails meander through forests, along rivers and across farms. The terrain is varied and the tracks can be dirt, gravel or sand. Given that the course is almost exclusively off road, it is suited to mountain bikes as opposed to road or gravel bikes. Having said that, even an entry-level mountain bike will get the job done.

Northcliffe weather can be slightly unpredictable. In April, there is the possibility of a sunny, 30 degree day, a wet, 15 degree day, or anything in between. We recommend keeping an eye on the weather forecast closer to the time to get an idea of what the weather will be over the Karri Cup MTB Challenge weekend.

  • Camping at the Rec Centre can be booked;

This race is run almost entirely by volunteers, and we would be so appreciative of anyone who is able to give some time over the weekend to ensure that the race runs smoothly.

Please go to the Volunteer tab on the website and fill out the form so that we can get in contact! Alternatively, please ring the volunteer coordinator, who’s details are also listed on the Volunteer tab on the website.

When you register for your race, you have the option to include lunch, which is to be served at the half way point, at Tinks Rd.

In addition to this, there are water stations positioned along the track. However, riders must carry water with them and we recommend you carry extra nutrition as required.

For supporters and “Enticer course” participants, the Karri Cup village at the Rec Centre will have food and drinks for sale throughout the weekend.

If we are contacted before the day of the race, the rider can receive a credit for their entry for the following year. Unfortunately credits or refunds on tshirts or meals are not possible.

Still have a question...please contact us and we'll get back to you asap. 🤗
